Kicking off 2023 at the Northern two-day senior, junior and under-17 Championships in Sheffield,

Bronze medalist to Charlotte Kelsey in the under-20 400m (58.45s);

Bronze Medal for Eden Creasey in the under-17 800m (2:13.93)

One of our club team field officials, Robert has been selected as Field Referee and Clerk of the course, for the North Eastern Athletics Association Championships, held in Gateshead in February, a full list of appointments can be found on the NECAA website here.

Well done to Emma Sedgwick our club’s only entry into the NECAA Indoor Pentathlon, Emma just missed out on a medal ranked 5th in the North East massing a finishing total of 2764 points. Emma now stands 4th in the club records for the U17W Indoor Pentathlon.

Day 1 Field events, Club athletes picked up Gold and Silver

U17 Women, Emma Sedgwick In the High Jump Silver 1.46m, in her other events, Long Jump Emma jumped 4.37m, and Shot Putt 7.51m.

U17 Men, William Firman Triple Jump Gold 11.58m, and second Gold in the Long Jump 5.78m.

Day 2 For the track events a further 4 Golds were won:

Masters Women 60m (Gold) Hayley Richardson 8.79

Under 13 Girls 60m heat 1 Whitney Ofor 8.34, heat 2 Sophie Krenzler 8.88

Under 17 Men 60m heat 1 Finley Maynard 7.46, Charlie Kaye 8.06,

Under 20 Men 60m heat 3 Chiemy Okey 7.72

Under 13 Girls 60m FINAL (Gold) Whitney Ofor 8.40, Sophie Krenzler 8.73 (4th)

Under 13 Boys 60m (Gold) Isaac Brown 8.87,

Under 17 Men 60m FINAL (Gold) Finley Maynard 7.47
